MISSION
The STEM Our State (SOS) podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in the science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) fields. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, engaging interviews with prominent speakers in our community. Our name, SOS, reflects our call to action and the urgency to STEM Our State.​​
OBJECTIVE
Through conversing with many professionals, our episodes are rich in the insights and real experiences of our guests. We aim to inspire students and help them relate to our guests. We hope that if anyone sees STEM as intimidating, listening to these guests who have been there can help eliminate their self-doubt. After hearing about a specific field, whether it's healthcare, software development, immunology, or any of the other endless opportunities, interested students can learn how to jump right in from our speakers. STEM Our State believes that by sharing these stories, we can help prevent "brain drain" in West Virginia, and push students to achieve their dreams.

TEAM
Our strike team is composed of a group of West Virginian students that are dedicated and passionate about our community and helping it grow and prosper in unimaginable ways. We hope to be a flare for this future, bringing together and having meaningful conversations with people who will bring about this future. We ourselves hope to join these people, but to do so, we believe in cultivating a mindset within ourselves and the other determined people hoping to join the mission.
